I was googling my name and found you! This is amazing. I too love jazz and can sing a tiny bit and I also have a golden retriever. This is fun!

Beverly, I am so happy to hear what a great success your benefit concert was. Congratulations! My only regret is that I wasn't able to be there to hear it.

If Jimmy Mak ever grants you a date at his club, I'll do everything I can to be there. If he doesn't, that will be a shame. It will also be Portland's loss.

You and your fuzzy four-footed friends take care!

So pleased to hear of more mutual pleasure between Jazz artist & audience! That's what its all about. I can't wait until I too, will be able to share in the enjoyment. May your "ivories" never cease to tinkle brightly, Beverly!

Hi Beverly!

Wow, sounds like you pulled out all the stops over there in Florence. I sure would've liked to have been there. And you premiered a new song -- Mr. Rodgers' "Oh What A Beautiful Morning"! Will definitely have to hear that.

Wishing you lots of warm chords.

All the best,
Bruce

Hi, Beverly!

This sounded like a wonderful benefit concert ~ the setting, the audience, the selections, and the desserts from NOLa made for a perfect situation. :)

I wish that I could have been there to witness it all first hand!

Thank you for sharing the experience with everyone.

I have been trying to find Phil Mack for 18 some years now and came across your cd. I moved to Chicago 18 years ago and have completely lost touch. If this is the same Phil Mack I used to play music with in Grants Pass, Ore. can you please e-mail me and let me know. Music lives on. Sharon.p.s. You were awesome before and I'll bet your even better now!

I sampled all of your music, and so far my favorite is "Tango, Where Did the Time Go?". I wish you the best of luck with your music in the future. Have a wonderful winter!

sincerely,

Hi Beverly,

Chuck sent me an email praising your latest CD, "Lacey Mae" along with Scott Yanow's liner notes. After listening to the mp3 samples here I immediately went to iTunes and was happy to find your work there. I downloaded "Lacey Mae" and will listen to it in full tonight. I loved your choice of songs and it brought back memories of our musical adventures and connection many years ago. I really liked some of the open voicings in "Summertime" and found your arrangements very original and fresh.

I still play piano and guitar, mostly in a little band that I've been in for about the last 5 years. I took lessons about a year ago from John Mayer who is a fabulous Jazz pianist from New York who lives in Arcadia now and plays regularly in several local clubs. He has several CD's but they are not available on iTunes. I think you can find them through Amazon. You would like his playing.

I am sorry for my actions many years ago when you and Chuck broke up but I've been through a divorce myself after 21 yrs of marriage. I have a beautiful 21 yr old daughter whose presence reminds me that even with divorce it was still worth it because of her.

Take care and maybe some day I can hear you play live.

Sincerely,
Stephen
